W&H Law Firm /Nantong
I. Historical Background
The predecessor of W&H Law Firm /Nantong (hereinafter referred to as "W&H Nantong") was Jiangsu Pingfan Law Firm, established in 1984. To better serve a broad range of clients, Jiangsu Pingfan Law Firm merged with W&H Law Firm in December 2011, leading to the establishment of W&H Law Firm /Nantong.
II. Staffing
W&H Nantong currently employs over 100 professionals, including 81 practicing lawyers, of whom 29 are partners. The firm ranks first in Nantong in terms of the number of senior practicing lawyers, with four holding first-level and four holding second-level titles. It also leads in the proportion of highly educated lawyers, with over 20% holding master's degrees. Additionally, it boasts the highest number of foreign language-proficient lawyers in the city: over 20% have passed CET-6 or achieved Level 1 in Japanese, and 10% are capable of conducting business negotiations and handling legal matters directly in English or Japanese. The firm also has the highest number of lawyers holding significant part-time roles in society, with 25% serving as arbitrators for Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Nantong Arbitration Commission, and Nantong Personnel Dispute Arbitration Commission. Furthermore, 10% of the lawyers hold important positions in Jiangsu Lawyers Association and Nantong Lawyers Association.
