Dispute Resolution has always been one of W&H's core advantageous business areas. Dispute resolution has always been one of the core strengths of W&H's practice. As one of the largest law firms with the strongest competence in litigation and arbitration, W&H has represented many high-profile, difficult and complex cases with significant social impact, many of which have been included in the bulletin of cases of Supreme People's Court and Civil and Commercial Guidance Cases, which have set the standard for adjudication in the industry. A number of W&H lawyers have served as arbitrators in China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), Shanghai Arbitration Center (SHAC), Guangzhou Arbitration Commission (GAC), etc. Many of our lawyers have been appointed as expert advisors to the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
The W&H dispute resolution team currently has over 100 practicing lawyers, many of whom hold professional credentials such as intermediate accountant and certified tax agent. Several members have studied abroad or brought prior professional experience from institutions including the tax bureau, public security authorities, procuratorates, and the courts. W&H emphasizes cross-team and cross-regional collaboration, and have established a system for discussing major and difficult cases, brainstorming and formulating the best strategies for the cases.
