Practice Overview
Marriage and family law business is the flagship practice of legal service in W&H Law Firm. In particular, the cross-border marriage and family affairs, as well as cross-border trust services are recognized as the leading professional field in China. W&H has a professional team consisting of elite lawyers who handle marriage and family cases. At present, there are more than 160 lawyers in related field, and they work in different offices of W&H across the country. Among them, W&H head office has 49 members, 37 of whom are senior lawyers with more than ten years of practice, 70% hold a master's degree or above, and many have published monographs on marriage and family law. Several members also serve as directors or deputy directors of regional bar association marriage and family law committees, professors or external mentors at leading universities, directors of major legal associations, mediators for the Women’s Federation, and recipients of honors such as "Top Ten Marriage and Family Lawyers". In addition, some have been recognized as part of the Ministry of Justice’s Thousand Foreign-related Lawyers Program.

W&H partners with major Chinese financial institutions such as Ping An Bank, China Merchants Bank, New China Life Insurance, and CITIC Trust to offer wealth inheritance planning services.
It collaborates with top-tier universities in China, including Peking University, Renmin University of China, and China University of Political Science and Law, to integrate industry, academia, and research. Through expert opinion seminars, theoretical insights are leveraged to enhance legal services.
The firm also works with hospitals and psychological counseling institutions to provide popular services such as premarital counseling, crisis intervention during the cooling-off period for divorce, and psychological support during ongoing cases. Among these collaborations, a partnership with the Peking University Psychological Counseling and Treatment Center has led to the establishment of an on-site counseling room, enabling seamless access to psychological counseling services for clients;

Major Achievements
As of August 2023, W&H lawyers have handled nearly ten thousand marriage and family litigation and family wealth inheritance cases. Representative matters include providing specialized legal services for family businesses with assets exceeding ten billion yuan, cooperating with CITIC Trust on family trust legal service projects, and handling litigation for nationally renowned actors, prominent entrepreneurs, and leading film and television stars, with the largest single case involving assets worth tens of billions of yuan.
